This course on sustainability is designed to provide participants with a thorough understanding of sustainability practices and their implementation. Through interactive discussions and shared real-world examples from UNC Greensboro, participants will gain valuable insights into creating a sustainable future. By the end of the course, participants will be equipped with the knowledge and tools to contribute to sustainability efforts both in their communities and in their personal lives. This course is ideal for anyone interested in sustainability and environmental stewardship.

Refund Policy

To receive a refund, a written request must be received 3 business days before the first class. A $25 processing fee will be deducted from the refund. Cancellation requests received less than 3 business days before the first class but before the second meeting will receive a 50% refund.  ALL written requests should be emailed to emeritus@spartanstrategiesinc.org or mailed to the address below.

UNCG Sustainability Specialist, Sean MacInnes, has over a decade of experience in higher education administration and a background in multi-modal transportation planning, having served as a member of the Memphis Metropolitan Planning Organization’s Active Transportation Advisory Committee, and as the chair of the Alternate Transportation and Fuels Working Group for the Mid-South Regional Greenprint Consortium in Memphis, TN. He measures UNCG’s carbon footprint, conducts internal assessments, supports the Sustainability Council and UNCG Green Fund, writes grants, and provides education and community outreach to help further the University’s sustainability mission. He is recognized as a LEED Green Associate by the US Green Building Council.
